Saturday Devotionals

Welcome back to this week's Saturday Devotional! I hope your week was filled with love and happiness.

Today we are diving into the peace that God provides. Life at times can feel so heavy, you can be filled with worries, anxieties, depression, overwhelming responsibilities and moments that make you question "Why am I doing this?". During times like these, its important to remember the steadfastness of God and lean on him while you feel this way. God invites us to step into his peace, this is not the kind of peace that the world can provide that is temporary or dependent on certain circumstances, but true healing peace that is steady, calm and truly settles your spirit.

God doesn't ask us to have everything under control or to know how to deal with every situation that is thrown our way; he just asks that we lean on him and cast our anxieties, worries and feelings of uncertainty over to him and allow him to lead us in the direction where we are supposed to go.

Bible Verse of the week:

"You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in You." Isaiah 26:3

My Interpretations:

Trust in the Lord completely, I know it is so easy to let worldly views or thoughts overtake our brains and run rapid, but try to slow down and hand things over to the Lord.

Pray often, let God know what your feeling and how he can help you. Open that line of communication and be honest "Lord I am struggling with ........ please provide me with peace to go on about my day and heal my spirit".

Worldly peace is temporary and situational but Peace provided by the Lord is permanent and all encompassing.

Lets Pray:

Lord, thank you for the peace that you offer so freely. Help me turn my mind toward you in moments of struggle instead of trying to figure things out on my own and please quiet the worries, strengthen my trust and guide each step I take this week.

Amen

Reflection Questions:

  • What is one thing that I need to release into God's hands today?

  • Where do I need God's peace most right now?

  • How can I spend more intentional time this week to re-center my heart on him?

Have a great week!
